The corruption-mongers of state finance capitalism are working hand-in-glove with the creatively destructive robber barons and fixers of emerging and failing states. The former decry the latter for their crude and blatant corruption and nepotism all the while they wheel and deal with them.

Baixo crescimento econômico prolongado estimula condutas tipo “rent seeking” (e vice-versa), diferenças culturais explicam porque “corrupção” para alguns é apenas um inocente “favor” para outros, e a ausência ou baixa eficiência de certas instituições (rule of law, Judiciário independente e ágil etc.) estimulam condutas consideradas anti-éticas.
Mas o texto abaixo não nos deixa esquecer que corrupção também é uma característica presente (e historicamente marcante) nos países “ricos, limpinhos e educados”.
